Centrino-Calpella platform (2009)

The code-name Calpella refers to the sixth-generation Centrino platform; it will be competing with AMD Fusion platform. It will premiere in Q2 2009 with the second iteration of Nehalem processors.
The Calpella platform consists of:
Processors - based on Intel Nehalem microarchitecture (code-named Gilo)
an Intel processor (code-named Auburndale) 45nm for Dual Core version, 35-45W TDP, or
an Intel processor (code-named Clarksfield) 45nm for Quad Core version, 45-55W TDP.
an Intel Mobile chipset with Intel's graphics technology that will allow for optimized decoding/encoding and editing/playback of H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video used in Blu-ray Discs and HD 1080p video, optimized for MPEG-2 (DVD) video playback and editing.
Intel QuickPath Interconnect support which directly connected to the CPU removing the outdated FSB technology.
Direct connect to DisplayPort (and DPCP) as with its predecessor along with legacy support for HDMI (and HDCP), DVI, and VGA.
RAM supported for DDR3-800, DDR3-1066, DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600.
Solid-state drive or Hybrid hard drives support.
the Intel WiFi Link (802.11 a/b/g/n) and WiMax (802.16).
