I love ThinkPad: Intel Wifi-Link & Intel Turbo Memory that support Thinkpad

atheros ar5bxb72 ar5008 wireless PCI-e card；support fn+f5 ，support wifi LED on thinkpad，fru：42t0815

Now it has been tested that Intel WiFi Link 5100/5300 mini-PCIe adapter (codenamed Shiloh)or Intel combo WiFi/WiMAX Link 5150/5350 mini-PCIe adapter (code-named Echo Peak) wireless card with fru could not be used on ThinkPad R61/T61/X61/T60/R60/Z60/X60, in other words, you can't update your Wifi-Link 4965AGN to Wifi-Link 5300/5100, these could only be used under Montevina Platform, such as ThinkPad T400/T500/X200/SL400 (these uses Intel Mobile 4 Express series chipset (codenamed Cantiga; GL40, GS45, GM45, GM47 or PM45))

And Intel WiFi Link 4965AGN (a/b/g/draft-n) mini-PCIe Wi-Fi adapter (codenamed Kedron) also could only be used under ThinkPad that use Intel Mobile 965 Express series chipset (codenamed Crestline)

The second generation of Intel Turbo Memory (codenamed Robson 2) with 4GB has a new function called User Pining while removed Readyboost. This function let userself choose the application that need to accrelated, according to Intel's test this could speed up preformce about 30%~55% while the temperature of harddisk could be lower 1℃, The second generation of Intel Turbo Memory support ThinkPad T400/T500/X200/SL400 that use Intel Mobile 4 Express series chipset (codenamed Cantiga; GL40, GS45, GM45, GM47 or PM45)

And the driver of Turbo Memory has been upgrade to 1.7.0,1012, with this, the driver will tell you the capacity of your Turbo Memory and whether Ready Boost and Ready Drive function has been enabled or not

The conclution:
It has been test that ThinkPad X61,T61,R61 & Dell XPS 1730 1720 1530 1520 1330 could full support Robson 2, but also need to meet these below:

1 Use Windows Vista OS, whether 32bit or 64 bit
2 hibernation should be enabled
3 Use latest Driver of Intel Turbo Memory
4 Enable BIOS ACHI mode
